Originally developed for spray coating applications, the carbide brush is designed to clean and texture pipe surfaces prior to coating.
Users have also applied it in other areas, including removing light scale from drain pipes and in some chimney maintenance processes. Its silicon carbide bristles are more durable than nylon while being less aggressive than chains, making it suitable for delicate surfaces and light descaling tasks.
The brush can be paired with other tools to help refine surfaces after descaling, and is well-suited for clearing dust or minor mineral buildup in PVC or more delicate pipe materials.
Available sizes range from 32mm (1 ¼”) to 170mm (6.7″).
Compatible with flexible shafts in 8mm (5/16″), 10mm (3/8″) and 12mm (1/2″) diameters.
