The Flex Shaft Lock is designed to secure the protective sleeve of a flexible shaft during drain cleaning operations. It limits sleeve movement and reduces the risk of shaft kinking near the drill end, especially in situations where torque limiters may not engage quickly enough.
Some users prefer a short exposed section of shaft near the tool end for added flexibility. This lock enables precise control over that exposed length.
In addition to securing the sleeve, the lock can be positioned at the front or middle of a drain chain (without a drill head) to create a beveled surface, helping the chain navigate around elbows in pipes.
Each lock is constructed from stainless steel to resist corrosion and fastens to the shaft with set screws.
Available sizes:
- For 6mm (1/4″) shaft - has 16mm diameter and 12mm length
- For 8mm (5/16″) shaft - has 18mm diameter and 12mm length
- For 10mm (3/8″) shaft - has 20mm diameter and 12mm length
- For 12mm (1/2″) shaft - has 22mm diameter and 12mm length
