X-Tip Chain (Heavy)

The Heavy X-Tip Chain is our most aggressive chain option for cleaning and clearing tough obstructions in metal and ceramic pipes. Built for high-torque use, it is effective for cutting through tree roots, failed liners, thick rust, and hardened scale.

This chain features X-shaped alloy teeth fused to the links. The teeth act like sharp blades, scouring the inside of the pipe as the chain spins. It centers itself using centrifugal force, ensuring even contact across the full pipe diameter.

Made from 4mm (3/16″) thick stainless steel chain links, this tool is heavier than most, which gives it more cutting power. It mounts to your flexible shaft using set screws and includes three individual chain links of varied lengths for increased coverage.

The chain is adjustable by shifting the connection hubs to fit slightly smaller pipe sizes when needed.

NOTE: This tool is not suitable for PVC pipes. The aggressive cutting can cause damage quickly. For PVC, consider one of our croco or plain chains.
